The roots of Barclay Farming Company run deep, extending back generations before Larry and Jeanine Barclay established the current headquarters with a vision of further developing a company founded on trust, quality, and service. Rod joined Forrest, Larry and Lonnie, and Ryan joined in 1989 when the split occurred, further strengthening the family ties that have always been central to the company’s identity. That same year marked a turning point when Forrest retired, and Larry and Lonnie made the strategic decision to divide the farming operation into two separate enterprises to better serve their growing client base.

Following this restructuring, Larry welcomed Rod and Ryan into the business as full partners. Together, they built on the foundation laid by Larry and Jeanine, embracing innovation while maintaining the core values of trust and service that define the Barclay legacy. The partnership flourished for decades, and even after Larry’s passing in 2014, Rod and Ryan have continued to honor his legacy by maintaining the same principles and passion for farming that guided the business from the beginning.
